Discover a process for resolution-making that actually works

You are so ready for a change. There’s a stuck habit that’s been holding you back, a goal you no longer want to put off – and new year or otherwise, now feels like the right time to dust it off and get going.

It’s not the first time you’ve thought about this. It’s been on your mind for a while, you’ve maybe written it down and talked to people about it…. but then it’s just fallen by the wayside or taken a back-burner. You notice that critical voice inside sneering: “You’re an intelligent person, surely you should be able to make this simple change?!”

Is it such a simple change?

The thing to know is that a ‘simple change’ is often a lot more complex and goes a lot deeper than most of us realize. I’ll give you a fitting example…

My hairdresser said her new year’s resolution was to ‘drink more water’. Sounds simple, right? Well, when I asked her a little more about it, it turns out: she doesn’t like the taste of water. No matter how many times she writes that down on her list or tells people about it, she’s not suddenly going to start enjoying the taste of water. So what is she left with? Another year of feeling she’s failed and a nagging sense of inadequacy.

It’s important to know that every time you repeat a resolution or goal without understanding it and without giving due time over to finding pathways and solutions, you are setting yourself up for failure. You’re also reinforcing the self-image that you’re someone who can’t be trusted and who can’t keep your word.

Eight nuggets

There are different elements of your resolution to enquire into and so this e-course consists of eight nuggets, each of which provokes your curiosity about a different aspect of your resolution:

8. Buddy Up - celebrating success and establishing support

Each nugget will offer you questions to ponder and actions to take – this is very much a course to work with, not merely read and forget about.

The format of this New Way Resolutions e-course means that you get regular input – specifically, an email every three or four days throughout the month. This has been deliberately designed so that your resolution stays ever-present in your mind and so that you feel that continual sense of support.

No need to do anything yet, just look out for those opportunities throughout the course.
