* A filter. Imagine if you had a really sound, trustworthy filter which could separate out the good advice from the bad; the useful from the draining. You can have an external filter by way of someone else who has walked a similar terrain and can give you the heads up about what’s effective and what’s distracting. It’s also important to develop a trustworthy internal filter – that inner sense of connection to what’s right for YOU.
* Nuts and bolts. You simply haven’t yet received good, solid information and advice about how to build a business. What comes first? How to do this, how often to do that? What works and what doesn’t? You want to feel confident that you’ll be working smart and generating income as a result of your efforts – and you want to be in action, not just thinking about it.
* Self care & celebration. How about a little basking in the glory of YOU!? You’re starting a business! It’s like having a baby – you’re entering this glorious, delicious birthing process and it’s time for some real focus on yourself – and deep nurturing of yourself.
* Allies. Of course you don’t want to feel alone. Hi, I’m Corrina Gordon-Barnes and I am SO excited about this programme; it’s been brewing for the past six years that I’ve been in business. I’ve been enjoying self-employment since 2004 and have worked with over 70 coaching clients and dozens more workshop participants on finding and following their passion, especially through the vehicle of self-employment.
I’ve seen every intricacy along the journey: the highs, the lows, the hot spots, the stuck points, the joys and the tribulations.
I’m a certified coach and previously a teacher (trained at Cambridge University) so I know how to help people learn deeply, effectively and enjoyably. I’ve also studied with and am implementing the Heart of Business approach which is a deep, heart-centred approach to self-employment. I have my own daily spiritual practice which enables me to connect to inner wisdom and peace so that my business is built outwards from that place.

1-1 peer support: Every other week, you’re matched with a fellow participant from the programme who is also committed to turning her passion to profit and who is there to help you do the same. You’ll enjoy structured sessions together either online or via telephone

“I can’t make all those dates – does that mean I can’t join?”
If you can’t make any of the live teleclasses, it’s not a problem as all the classes are being recorded. You’ll receive these recordings straight to your inbox very shortly after the live class and even if you CAN make the classes, you’ll also have the recordings as reference.
“Will it take up all my time? I’m already doing a lot!”
To enjoy a good level of engagement with this programme, you’ll want to allocate one and a half to two hours per week. One week you’ll have a 90 minute teleclass, then the next you’ll have your buddy session and an assignment which together will take about 90 minutes. It’s pretty much the same time commitment as watching one movie per week. Do you have time to watch a movie? Then you have time.
(And of course you’ll have the recordings available to you after the classes so there’s plenty of opportunity if you WANT to do more.)
“I’ve not participated in a teleconference before – will I be at a disadvantage?”
Definitely not. I’ll explain any etiquette in advance and you’ll very quickly get the hang of it.
“It’s expensive! Can I get the same support in a cheaper form?”
Up until now, one-to-one clients have worked with me for a minimum of eight sessions which costs £600.
